ASUS는 새로운 브랜드 'AREZ'를 공개하고, ROG 브랜드보다 다른 스펙의 그래픽카드 제품을 발표했다.   이 브랜드는 'AREZ Strix Radeon RX 580 TOP edition'과 'AREZ Strix Radeon RX VEGA64 OC Edition'등 AMD Radeon탑재 그래픽카드를 포함하고 있다. 제품 사양을 보면 코어클럭이나 메모리용량같은 부분이나 방진팬 탑재, Aura Sync대응등 회사의 게임 브랜드 'Republic of Gamers(ROG)'로 출시된 제품과 동일한 것으로 보이지만 영상출력 개수가 다른 차이를 보이고 있다.  최근 경쟁사인 MSI가 'Gaming X'브랜드의 Radeon카드를 라인업에서 빼고 있으며, GIGABYTE에서도 'AORUS'브랜드로 투입했던 것과 거의 동일한 Radeon 제품을 다른제품으로 다시 투입하는 등 움직임을 보이고 있는데, 이것이 엔비디아가 자사 칩셋을 사용하는 그래픽카드 제조업체와 협정을 맺고, 기존의 게이밍 브랜드에서 Radeon을 배제하려고 하고 있는 것이 아니냐는 추측성 보도도 나오고 있는 상황. 이에 대해 AMD는 이런 상황에 대해 관련있는 것으로 보인다는 성명을 발표하고 있다(아래 동영상 및 영문 발표문 참조) Radeon RX Graphics: A Gamer’s Choice in 04/17/18 by Scott Herkelman Our proud pastime of PC gaming has been built on the idea of freedom.
